The questions people ask about the money.
Knowing how a home gets sold shouldn't cost anything, so it doesn't. The tool keeps that knowledge organized around your actual sale, and that's the part you pay for.
Exactly what is free, and exactly when do I pay?
Everything before the listing is free: setting up your room, the whole pathway with every guide, your documents and photos, the calculator, the sale sheet, comparing agents, and your sale's own email address. You pay once, on the day your sale reaches the listing milestone, and only if you want the tool doing the on-market work: the calendar and showings, the mail sorted for you, editing documents, your public page, and, on the All the way plan, signing and the state forms. No card is asked for before that day, and nothing starts a clock. The two plans →
Does my agent have to use Keighbor?
No. Your agent never has to log in, install anything, or change how they work. Your room is yours; you can invite them into it to share papers and dates, and plenty of sellers never do. If they do come in, they see what you share with them and nothing you keep private. Who sees what →
If I buy On the market ($79) and later want All the way ($199), do I pay $199 again?
No. You pay the difference, $120, and nothing else. Moving up happens from inside your room whenever you want signing or the state forms, and what you already paid counts in full.
What happens to my room if I don't pay when I list?
Your Room and saved work stay in place. You can keep using the free pathway, guides, and pre-listing work. The on-market features wait behind payment: showing availability and bookings, sale mail, document editing and signing, and your public page. Nothing you've already saved is deleted.
How long can I keep the free pre-sale room?
As long as you are using it. Nothing removes a free room today. Our policy is that a room nobody has opened for 12 months may be removed, and before that ever happens we email you first, with time to download everything or simply open the room to keep it. Getting everything out →
If I never list, does it stay free?
Yes. The payment is tied to the listing milestone, so a room that never reaches it is never charged. The same 12-month rule about untouched rooms is the only thing that ever applies to it.
If my listing expires, or my buyer walks away, does one purchase still cover the same attempt?
Yes. One purchase covers one home, sold by you, until it closes. If the listing expires and you list again, you are still in the same sale and nothing is charged again. If a buyer falls through and you archive the deal and start over, the new room carries your purchase with it, along with your listing work. A different home is a different sale. When a sale falls through →
What if I change my mind after paying?
Tell us within 7 days and we refund it in full, no questions, and you keep everything in your room. The one exception is a document already sent for legally binding signature, which cannot be undone. The refund, in the Terms →
